Where’d The Boat Go??
Where DID the boat go? Can you guess? Actually, there are a few answers to that question. One is that we went and will go all over the place – yeah, that’s right!! If you guys thought we just left out of the World’s Fair Marina in Flushing, you’re missing out on all the other places that we can sail out of!
Here in New York, we’ve got Port Washington Town Dock at Port Washington, Chelsea Piers and the Water Club in Manhattan, the County Asphalt Pier at Tarrytown, Yonkers City Pier in Yonkers, New Rochelle Municipal Marina, and our home port. In Connecticut, we leave out of Harbor Square Marina in Stamford, and Veteran’s Memorial Park in Norwalk. Finally, in New Jersey, we leave out of the Lincoln Harbor Yacht Club in Weehawken, and Liberty Landing Marina in Jersey City.
Keep in mind that, though we often leave out of the World’s Fair Marina and that most of these other ports are for private charters, we have gone to both Stamford and Norwalk, Connecticut, for public cruises in the summer. And don’t worry, all you groups of 10 or less who want to leave out of Port Washington! We've also got Long Island Sound Cruises coming up on our schedule, too. Not only do we leave out of different ports, but we sail around the LI Sound, as well as the Manhattan Skyline!!
So as you can see, there are a lot of answers to the question: “where’d the boat go?”, but there’s one answer I’ve left out – where is the boat AT THE MOMENT? Well, the answer to that is that we thought our little Princess deserved a much needed vacation for a little TLC - at the shipyard! Every few years or so, we send our pride and joy to get some cool new upgrades and spruce her up a bit before the summer so you can see her at her best. As a result, she will not be available to see until around March 12, but don’t worry! She’ll be back before you know it, and just in time to shine for our spring cruises!
