Deck The Holidays!
Hello again to all my party planning friends! Aren't you glad the holidays are here? I sure am! That's why, to finish off our party planning series, I would like to give you an example, as promised, of how someone would plan their holiday party. Last time, we decided that sometimes we'd rather just have the whole boat! But what if you have a smaller group of people, want something inexpensive, and yet still want something just as private? Problem solved. Consider the private deck.
Suppose you want to do something fun and interesting for your next holiday event - whether it be a corporate party or a family outing - and you decide to go on a cruise. Okay. You manage to get some people interested in the idea, and round up about 10 guests. That's a good amount for a dinner cruise, and perhaps with private seating. Score! You're psyched to reserve online. But then out of no where you get a whole bunch of friends who are like, "A cruise? Drinks? Food? Count us in!!" Sooner or later, because you made your party sound so enticing, you have a mob of 50 people clamoring to get on that boat and spread some holiday cheer!! So what do you do?
Well, you know that you can book the whole boat, and let's say you planned early so you have a month and some to work with. You want to make a deposit and hold the date, as you dream of your perfect menu and a 3-tiered yacht all to yourself. However, you soon realize that it's a little out of your budget at the moment, and that an event that big might stretch the limits of your attention anyway. You're bummed about it all until your event planner goes: "Hey! Have I got an idea for you! Get a private deck! Yes, you can have an elegant little soiree for less! Voila, no more holiday fuss and stress!" Well, maybe they won't say it just like that, but you get the picture.
You take the deck, and you do some of the same things you do for a charter, getting all the details and money together 2 weeks before the event, and even deciding to use the DJ that's already available - and you're set! Your holiday party is a lot more cozy and still an automatic hit! Wonderful. So, as our last lesson comes to a close, what have we learned? Well...ship charters are the best, and now that you know what to do, you'll all be party planning masters in no time!!
